The RR 330A scans Very High Frequency transmissions, receiving coverage of wide frequency ranges. VHF Communications are generally transmitted over short distances.
The RR 330A Radio Receiver is designed for detection, direction finding, registration of operating parameters, radio intelligence processing, and classification of radio radiation sources / signals operating at:
- Fixed frequencies
- Frequency hopping
- Telecode message transmissions
The RR 330A can operate autonomously or as a part of an automated jammer (BR 330A). It is mounted on vehicles (including Jeep-type cars) or armored vehicles.
Features include:
- Detection and measurement of parameters of the following signal types: AM, FM, CW, SSB, ISB, telecode, frequency hopping with dispatch length above 0.5 ms, adaptive frequency hopping.
- Classification of signals with probability not less than 0.9 at 10 dB SNR for the time within 3 s.
- Automatic selection, displaying of an input signal flow by frequency, bearing, target type (conventional, telecode, frequency hopping), by time and energy parameters.
- Division of surface and spatial waves by the arrival angle of electromagnetic field edge.
- Automatic selection, displaying an input signal flow by frequency, bearing, target type (conventional, telecode, frequency hopping), by time and energy parameters and arrival angle of electromagnetic waves (surface or spatial).
- Synchronous scanning of the range as a part of the finding pair by external synchronization pulses.
- Interaction with master PC by conventional interfaces.
- Implementation of frequency hopping “chase” algorithm with the response time of 1.5 ms.
At the signal detection, the following is measured and registered:
- Central signal frequency;
- Signal spectrum width;
- Detected signal radiation source bearing;
- Energy and time signal parameters, including parameters of packet signals and frequency hopping signals with the rate up to 1000 hops/s.
