The VIP 300F Convoy Jamming System is an IED Jammer or Bomb Jammer ™ used by a group of vehicles traveling together as a convoy for convoy security.  A Convoy Jamming System or convoy jammer is used to counter IED attacks by terrorists or insurgents planning an unmanned ambush.  This type of ambush can take place on a crowded street or in the middle of a desert and is initiated by a Remote Controlled Improvised Explosive Device or RCIED. 
 
The Convoy Jamming System can counter Remote Controlled IED attacks against multiple vehicles traveling together as a convoy. Threats to convoy safety generally consist of a cellular IED, satellite phone IED, walkie talkie IED, or radio IED, all types of an RCIED.  These RCIED's are forms of electronic warfare used by terrorists and insurgents who strike out at convoys without facing their victims and use technology to lead their IED attacks. 
 
Countering a Remote Controlled IED assault on a convoy requires a Convoy Jamming System designed to defend groups of vehicles against explosives and mines that are all detonated by remote control.  This Convoy Jamming System consists of a configuration of Bomb Jammer ™ broadcasting modules that emit radio interference from various vehicles within the convoy. This interference is essentially a series of multiple RF Jamming signals that are transmitted at high speed and envelope any radio receiver within their area of affectivity.

 

The detonation signal can therefore be blocked from reaching its radio receiver to ignite the IED.  The Convoy Jamming System does not damage radio triggers used to activate remote controlled explosive weapons. It merely suppresses the radio frequencies so that the radio receiver is unable to receive the actual detonation signal.  
 
Instead of one on one ambush tactics against people traveling in numbers, RCIEDs have become the weapon of choice to maximize damage, instill fear, and terrorize the victims (if they survive). Threats to convoy safety range from roadside bombs, radio controlled mines, and hidden remote controlled explosives on or near vehicles within a convoy.
 
Radio controlled weapons are responsible for an overwhelming majority of attacks against convoys.
