Radio Receiver 330B Series

 E-mail this product to a friend

The RR 330B scans the spectrum for radio emissions used to activate remote controlled improvised explosive devices or RCIEDs. It works on High Frequency scanning and provides detailed analysis of Short Wave Low Frequency Communications at a high scanning rate. High Frequency generally consists of long distance communication transmissions.

Like the Radio Receiver 330A, the RR 330B is also designed for the detection, direction – finding, and verification of parameters transmitted by non-friendly radio broadcast sources.

The RR 330B includes a radio intelligence feature that can classify radio signals, radiation sources operating at fixed frequencies, frequency hopping signals, and telecode message transmission mode.

The RR 330B also includes:

  • Detection and parameter measurement of the following signal types: AM, FM, CW, SSB, ISB, telecode, frequency hopping with dispatch length of not more than 5 ms, adaptive frequency hopping.
  • Classification of signals with probability of not less than 0.9 at 10 db SNR for time within 3 s.
  • Division of surface and spatial waves by the arrival angle of electromagnetic field edge.
  • Automatic selection, displaying of an input signal flow by frequency, bearing, target type (conventional, telecode, frequency hopping), by time and energy parameters, and arrival angle of electromagnetic waves (surface or spatial).
  • Synchronous scanning of ranges that are part of the location or finding pair by external synchronization pulses.
  • Interaction with master PC by conventional interfaces.
  • Implementation of frequency hopping “chase” algorithm with the response time of 15 ms.

At the signal detection, the following is measured and registered:

  • Central signal frequency;
  • Signal spectrum width;
  • Detected signal radiation source bearing;
  • Energy and time signal parameters, including parameters of packet signals and frequency hopping signals with the rate up to 200 hops/s;
  • Communication conversations received may be recorded on a digital or floppy disk;
  • Method of radiation source signal propagation: surface or spatial wave.
  • The RR 330B can operate autonomously or as a part of an automated jammer (BR 330B). It can be mounted on vehicles (including Jeep-type cars) or armored vehicles.
